Web design and front-end development for the Medical Groups inside one of the largest integrated health systems in the country — where regulatory constraint, clinical accuracy, and plain accessibility all have to hold at once.
Healthcare sites carry an unusual burden. The content is regulated, the accuracy is clinical, and the audience includes people navigating the worst week of their year. Nothing about the experience can be clever at the expense of being clear.
I built responsive WordPress themes and the graphic elements, wireframes, and prototypes that fed them, then developed custom plugins where the design needed behaviour the platform did not ship with.
A large share of the work was unglamorous and load-bearing: managing content, editing forms, restructuring menus so people could find what they came for, and testing across browsers and devices until the experience held everywhere it needed to.
Clarity is the accessibility feature that matters most.
